Got Goals?

In just a few days we will be walking into the very next year of our lives! I do not know about you, but even typing that motivates me! The best and most promising aspect of a new year is that it is full of potential! We hold the pen which means we have the ability to create the most powerful and impactful year of our lifetime. Don’t dread the new year, get excited about the possibilities! Oftentimes, the new year can bring an array of emotions. Some of us get a little sad realizing yet another year has passed and the time just continues to fly, while others are anxiously awaiting the new year  so we can put the past year behind us, and some of us are just plain ready to focus on the new, and get on to make the next year the best we have had. No matter where you are on that spectrum here is what I want you to know and always remember.

Time is not guaranteed. Each and every day we are given is a gift. Our time here is limited and that is why above all else we must strive to live intentionally, why we must show up big in the world, why we need to make the most of the time we have to make an impact in the world around us while we can.

It is easy to allow the noise of the days to interfere with the joys of the days. It is easy to get lost in the struggles we face, it is easy to allow adversity and challenges to harden our outlook and zap our energy. But I want to challenge you to CHOOSE the way in which you live regardless of your circumstances.  I want to challenge you to choose joy, choose kindness, choose compassion, choose to be a light to those around you. Not only will that fuel your passions and propel your purpose, but it will also direct each and every move, keep you in alignment, and enable you to focus on what really matters.

At the end of the day, a life well lived is one that was LIVED, not talked about, not dreamed about, but LIVED.

The best part of where we are right now is that we have never been here before as the person that we are with the lessons and learnings we have collected at this point in our lives. You my friend have the vantage point here. In order to move forward and plan for success we must first take a moment and reflect right where we are. Here are a few questions you can take yourself through for meaningful reflection.

  1. What is one thing you accomplished this year that makes you proud?
  2. What was the biggest lesson you learned in 2022, and how will you use that information to better your life moving forward?
  3. What was the biggest challenge you overcame and how did you do it?
  4. What do you wish you had more time for?
  5. What was the best thing that happened to you this year and how did it make you feel?
  6. What do you want to leave behind in 2022?
  7. How would you like to see your life change going into 2023?

Do me a solid, and take the time to respond to these questions. This will provide you with such valuable information, clarity and the best roadmap to create a different year for yourself. This is the ultimate goal of living a life of progress– making sure that we never live the same year twice. Please do this work for you, for me, for your future. When we come together next week we are gonna talk about all things goals, setting ourselves up for success, and how to activate change.

With Gratitude,

AG
