Make this YOUR mantra!
Let’s talk for a hot sec about perfection. Perfection is limiting, stressful, and emotionally taxing. Perfection is a myth. It’s the biggest lie we are told, and the biggest lie we tell.
Here are a few simple reminders or perfection myth busters:
You don’t have to be perfect to be loved.
You don’t have to be the perfect parent to raise good kids.
You don’t have to have a perfectly kept home to be a good woman.
You don’t have to be the perfect wife to have a good marriage.
You don’t even have to be a perfect human to receive God’s mercy, grace and love.
You don’t have to be the perfect student to make your teachers happy.
You don’t have to be the perfect kid to be loved by your parents.
Perfection is a lie and it dilutes your authenticity. The more perfect you try to be the more of yourself you actually lose along the way. When you constantly pursue perfection you have to let go of yourself to LIVE for others.
Let’s stop this. 🛑
Let’s instead focus on progress. ✅
What if we celebrated progress over perfection? What if we honored and recognized progress over perfection?
Who could you become, and what could you do if you gave yourself permission to move forward boldly and courageously in imperfect action?
So start celebrating the progress you make each day in ALL the areas of your life, and worry less about how perfect it is. Break those chains, so the real imperfect YOU can be free!
Imperfectly,
