Truth Bomb Detected!
You know every once in while I gotta get in here a deliver a truth bomb, and today’s is a great one.
We often hear the word “gratitude” and think of being grateful, but gratitude is actually an attitude. It’s a belief that there is always something good even when it’s hard to see the good. It’s believing that every dark cloud has a silver lining. It’s knowing and understanding that gratitude is a position we take in life – day in and day out, and if you are truly practicing gratitude, then you will find it increasingly difficult to be upset, get angry, feel frustrated, complain, or simply be negative.
Why?
Because you can’t have a negative attitude and have a grateful heart, the two simply do not co-exist.
Why?
Because if you are constantly looking for the good, you are not focused on the bad. If you are in a place where you are always seeking the highlight, then you can’t dwell on the low, if you are positioned to see everything that happens around you as a blessing, then you are unable to complain about what is happening around you.
It’s the difference between cursing the red light, or recognizing that the extra 3-4 minutes added to your trip are to protect you. It’s the difference between being angry over not getting the condo, because you know and trust that it just means there is something better out there for you.
When you have a grateful heart, you do not experience lack because there is always something to be grateful for!
With Gratitude,
Andrea
